Classes & Workshops

A variety of seasonal offerings designed to help you reconnect with your body, experience the joy of movement, and explore the healing wisdom found in rhythm, dance, and community.

Experience Movement in New Ways

Movement has the remarkable ability to reconnect us—with our bodies, with one another, and with the simple joy of being fully alive.

Throughout the year, Christina offers a variety of seasonal classes and workshops that invite participants to explore movement from different perspectives. Some are quiet and restorative. Others are joyful and rhythmic. All are rooted in the belief that movement can help us feel more connected, more resilient, and more at home in ourselves.

Whether you're joining your first class or returning after years away, you'll be welcomed exactly as you are.

HIPS – Healing in Present Time

A movement experience for women and female-identifying individuals.

Our hips carry so much of our story.

They support us as we walk through life, hold us through seasons of change, and invite us to move, create, nurture, and express ourselves.

HIPS (Healing in Present Time) is a unique movement experience created by Christina Montoya that invites women to reconnect with this powerful part of the body through mindful movement, breath, strength, gentle exploration, music, and community.

Rather than focusing on how your body looks or performs, HIPS encourages something different:

To listen.

To soften.

To move with curiosity.

To appreciate the body you have today.

Each class blends movement, reflection, and embodied awareness in a welcoming environment where women can reconnect with themselves while sharing the experience alongside others.

Many participants describe leaving class feeling lighter, more grounded, more connected, and more fully themselves.

Whether you're looking to move more freely, cultivate greater self-acceptance, or simply spend an hour caring for yourself, HIPS offers an opportunity to slow down, breathe deeply, and rediscover the joy of living in your body.

Seasonal classes resume Fall 2026.

Dance & Cultural Movement

Dance has been one of Christina's greatest teachers.

For decades, she has studied, performed, and taught movement traditions rooted in the African Diaspora, particularly Cuban casino dance, while exploring the rich cultural stories carried through rhythm and social dance.

These classes are about more than learning steps.

They are an opportunity to experience the joy of moving with others, connect with traditions that have been passed from generation to generation, and discover how dance can bring people together across cultures.

From beginner-friendly social dance classes to special guest workshops, every experience celebrates movement as both expression and connection.

Upcoming offerings may include:

• Cuban Casino (Salsa)
• Rhythm & Musicality
• Social Dance
• Cultural Dance Workshops
• Guest Artists
